It was a rough Friday night for the Emporia High baseball team. They were swept by Manhattan.
Manhattan won the first game 11-0, scoring 7 runs in the first inning and added 4 runs in the 2nd inning. The Spartans were shut out on 1 hit.
Manhattan won the second 9-0. The big inning was a 6-run 4th inning. The Spartans were shut out on 3 hits.
The Spartans will try to bounce back Tuesday when they host Topeka High.
