The Emporia High softball team was swept by Manhattan Friday.
Manhattan won the 1st game 16-0. The Lady Spartans were shut out on 1 hit.
Manhattan won the 2nd game 6-3.
Caitlyn Meyers was 3 for 4 with an RBI and 2 runs scored.
Kaylee Reimer drove in a run and Addison Kirmer scored a run.
Coach Aaron Hammond said the second game was encouraging.
The schedule does not get easier for the Lady Spartans they play at Topeka High on Tuesday.
