Lyon County has a new option for residents who need zoning permits.
The county website, www.lyoncounty.org, now has an online permit option. Residents can go online to www.lyoncounty.org, find Planning and Zoning under the Government drop-down tab and then click on the Online Permitting link. Zoning and Floodplain Administrator Sam Seeley had details recently on KVOE’s Talk of Emporia.
Once they create their own username and password, residents can also track exactly where their application is in the county’s overall process. Currently, payments still have to be done at the Lyon County Courthouse, but Seeley says that will also be shifting online later this year.
