The Emporia State football team wrapped up spring practices with the Spring Finale Friday night.
During the Championship Drive part of the night, Braden Gleason connected with Cole Schumaker for a touchdown.
During the live drives, Peyton Henry scored on a 1-yard run.
Redshirt Freshman quarterback Liam Thornton connected with Redshirt Freshman receiver Jackson Novacek for a touchdown.
During the Legends portion, the Black squad outscored the Gold Squad 20-14 to lead the Black squad to a 30-27 win for the night.
Head Coach Garin Higgins said was a good way to wrap up the spring and is excited about the fall.
Coach Higgins said they got better with several players standing out.
Junior receiver Cory Thomas said it was a good spring.
Junior defensive back Jaedon Pool also said they took a step forward.
The Emporia State football team will begin Fall camp on August 8th and kick off the season on September 1st at home against Northeastern State.
