Former Emporia State Lady Hornet Merrisa Quick announced over the weekend her retirement from professional basketball.
She had been playing in the Women’s British Basketball League with the Oakland Wolves.
Quick has been playing professionally since she graduated in 2015. She played in Portugal, Australia, Turkey, England, and with the Wisconsin Glo of the Global Women’s Basketball Association.
One of her late season games was against Durham which included former Lady Hornet Jessica Wayne.
