5 home runs were not enough for the Emporia State baseball team Tuesday in a 10-5 loss to Oklahoma Baptist.
A 6-run 9th inning by Oklahoma Baptist began with a hit batter and a walk did in the Hornets.
All of Emporia States’ runs were scored on home runs, 2 by T.J. Racherbaumer, one by Dylan Werries, Jack Maki, and Sawyer Slayden.
Emporia State Coach Seth Wheeler said it was one of those games.
The Hornets close the regular season at Central Oklahoma.
They go into the weekend tied for 8th place in the MIAA standings with Newman and Northwest Missouri State.
