The Emporia State softball team will open MIAA Tournament play Wednesday against Washburn. The MIAA Tournament will be played in Edmond, Oklahoma.
Other first-round games: Missouri Western plays Northeastern State. Rogers State plays Missouri Southern. Central Oklahoma plays Nebraska Kearney.
The Winner of the tournament receives the MIAA automatic NCAA Tournament bid.
