The full slate of traditional Flint Hills Beef Fest activities are still months away, however, several events are already in motion ahead of that time.
Beef Fest Spokesman Danny Broyles joined KVOE’s Morning Show Tuesday and reported that all cattle involved in this year’s activities were transported to the Emporia Livestock Sale Barn last week. They were then sorted, weighed and transported to southwest Lyon County where they will remain until August.
Speaking of which, Broyles says organizers are still putting finishing touches on the schedule of events that will take place Aug. 19-21. He says though some details are still pending, the schedule will look fairly similar to years past.
