Close to 350 people may be inside White Auditorium for the Emporia Area Chamber of Commerce’s 124th annual meeting Saturday evening.
Chamber President and CEO Jeanine McKenna says “words can’t say how relieved” she is to have the event on the community calendar after several schedule adjustments and, eventually, cancellations because of COVID-19. She says COVID caused a lot of adjustments for businesses individually, but she says the business community as a whole is doing well.
Activities begin at 6 pm and will include recognition of award winners the past two years, official changing of the Board of Directors chair position and an after-party at The Station.
