Newman Regional Health is set to kick off a lengthy series of activities over the next week Saturday morning.
The hospital will be welcoming families and young residents to the 23rd annual Teddy Bear Clinic Saturday morning. Due to construction in the area, the clinic will once again take place in a drive-thru format as has been the case the last few years due to COVID-19.
Residents will enter the hospital’s parking lot off twelfth avenue and make their way through a line where children will receive a goody bag full of items from local partners and much more according to director of business development McKenzie Cinelli.
The hospital is asking all residents who attend to bring a donation of non-perishable food items that will go to benefit the Salvation Army Food Pantry. The clinic will run from 9 am to noon Saturday.
Sunday, the hospital will be bringing back a former event that “fell off” in recent years, baby alumni day.
Activities will continue in the hospital’s parking lot will continue Thursday with the annual Denim & Diamonds kickoff barbecue from 11 am to 1 pm. Additional details can be found online at Newmanrh.org
