Two Burlington residents and a Lebo man escaped serious injury following a rollover accident east of Emporia Friday.
According to Lyon County Deputy Eric Williams, the accident occurred just before 5 pm in the 2200 block of Road 175, three miles northeast of Neosho Rapids. According to Williams, 21-year-old Brayden Jacobs of Burlington was driving eastbound in a 2001 Ford F150 pickup truck when he took his eyes off the roadway and lost control of the vehicle.
The pickup entered the south ditch and overturned onto it’s top. Jacobs and two passengers 29-year-old Cody Risner of Burlington and 22-year-old Hunter Jones of Lebo all exited the vehicle under their own power and suffered only minor injuries.
All three declined medical treatment. Risner was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident, however, Jones and Jacobs were not.

Some details are still pending, however, a rollover accident east of Emporia did not lead to any hospitalizations Friday.
The single-vehicle accident occurred just before 5 pm in the 2200 block of Road 175, about three miles north-northeast of Neosho Rapids. A full crash narrative has not been released, however, Lyon County Undersheriff John Koelsch tells KVOE News the accident involved a single vehicle that rolled over on to its top.
The exact number of individuals involved is unclear. Emporia-Lyon County EMS, Hartford-Neosho Rapids first responders and Lyon County deputies all responded to the scene.

5:11 pm Friday: Reported rollover wreck northeast of Neosho Rapids
A reported rollover crash east of Emporia has triggered an emergency response.
Emporia-Lyon County EMS, Hartford-Neosho Rapids first responders and Lyon County deputies are either on scene or headed to the 2200 block of Road 175, about three miles north-northeast of Neosho Rapids. Early indications are one vehicle overturned shortly before 5 pm.
There is currently no word on the number of patients or the severity of any injuries.
