The Emporia State track and field team had 6 top 8 finishes and 7 qualified for finals at the MIAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships Saturday.
Alyssa Conway finished in 2nd place in the hammer throw.
Holly Brockmeier finished in 5th place in the hammer.
Branden Wilkes finished in 3rd place in the decathlon.
Abigail Reid finished in 4th place in the heptathlon. She also qualified for the finals in the 400 hurdles.
Clair Crawford finished in 7th place in the discus.
Megan McManis finished in 7th place in the pole vault.
Juwan Johnson qualified for the finals in both the 100 and 200-meter dashes.
Chase Rooney, Davion Scott, and Brock Merz qualified for the finals in the 400-meter hurdles.
Xavier Hall qualified for the finals in the 110-meter hurdles.
In the team standings, the Emporia State women are in 4th place and the men are in 10th place after 7 events.
The meet resumes Sunday morning at 11:15 with the field events. Running events resume at 1:30.
