Nebraska Kearney scored 3 runs in the top of the 3rd inning and held on for a 3-1 win over the Emporia State softball team in an elimination game of the MIAA Tournament Saturday.
Emporia State grabbed the early lead when Lexi Williams scored on a sacrifice fly in the 2nd inning. The lead did not last long. Nebraska Kearney scored 3 runs in the top of the 3rd on a single and two run home run.
Emporia State scored their lone run without a hit.
They finish their season with a 25-30 record.
