Summer camp organizers can take advantage of a free COVID-19 testing program through the state.
The Kansas Department of Health and Environment says camps can use two test options — either point-of-care or over-the-counter — as a way to fit camp needs and resources. They can also choose to do screening tests, where staff and participants are tested regularly even if they are not symptomatic, or they can use diagnostic testing if camp attendees and workers develop symptoms.
For more information, camp organizers can call Kim Boucher at 316-243-8364. Kits will be sent from the KDHE lab to each camp requesting tests.
