Two people were hurt after one person apparently drove through the parking lot at the Kansas Turnpike’s Matfield Green service exit and hit two vehicles early Tuesday morning.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says the crash happened shortly before 5 am. The early indications are 29-year-old Tiffany Mason’s car crashed into a pickup driven by 23-year-old Jacob Martinez of Costa Mesa, California, before hitting a car driven by 55-year-old Michael McQueeny of Overland Park.
Mason, of Wichita, was taken to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita for suspected minor injuries. Martinez suffered suspected minor injuries but declined a hospital trip. McQueeny was not hurt.
The Highway Patrol has not mentioned what led to the crash.
