The Texas Rangers scored 3 runs in the 1st inning and never trailed on the way to a 6-4 win over the Kansas City Royals Tuesday night.
The Royals scored 3 runs in the 7th inning. Michael A. Taylor and Whit Merrifield each drove in a run with singles. Nicky Lopez hit into a force out and drove in a run.
Royals manager Mike Matheny said he is seeing signs.
Matheny says they need to keep doing the work.
The Royals and Rangers play again tonight first pitch is set for 7:05 pm.
