The Emporia State football team announced the selection of 6 captains for the 2022 season.
4 are returning team captains, receiver Cory Thomas, S-Back Dalton Cowan, Safety Jaden Pool, and linebacker Dawson Hammes.
There are two new captains, quarterback Braden Gleason and offensive lineman Conner Lierz.
All 6 earned All-MIAA honors last season.
The Hornets are scheduled to open the 2022 season on September 1st at home against Northeastern State.
