The Emporia High girls’ swim and dive team finished in 4th place at the Centennial League meet Thursday.
The Lady Spartans did have an automatic state qualifier.
The 200 free relay of Ryan Peak, Brooklyn Wiltz, Alison Brown, and Arianna Hamilton finished 4th with an automatic qualifying time for state.
The same 4 swimmers finished in 4th place in the 400 free relay with a consideration time for state.
Brooklyn Wiltz placed 3rd in the 100 free with a personal best and consideration time for state. She also cut time in the 50 free and finished 4th.
Ryan Peak placed 5th in the 100 free with a personal best and consideration time. She also placed 8th in the 50 free with a personal best time.
Ana Chapman finished in 4th place in the 100 breaststroke missing the automatic qualifying time by 1 second.
Arianna Hamilton placed 8th in the 100 free.
The 200 medley relay of Brooke Monroe, Ana Chapman, Faith Finley, and Allison Brown finished in 6th place.
In the diving competition, Emporia Highs Cadance Vincent finished in 2nd place with a personal best 11 dive score. Jacey Stuttler finished in 3rd place and Divinity Gardner finished in 5th place.
Brianna Devlin of Topeka High finished in 1st place.
Washburn Rural was the Centennial League Champion.
