Three spring commencement ceremonies are coming for Emporia State University this weekend.
ESU will have its graduate ceremony Friday at 6 pm inside of White Auditorium before a pair of commencement ceremonies take place Saturday morning and afternoon. ESU will be splitting undergraduate activities making a return to pre-covid format according to ESU Director of Media Relations Gwen Larson.
Larson says students in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences will walk in the morning followed by graduates in the School of Business and Teachers College in the afternoon. According to Larson the split format was developed years ago in an effort to ensure students could have as many family members attend as possible.
The morning ceremony is scheduled to begin at 9 am with the afternoon ceremony set for 2 pm. Additional information can be found online at Emporia.edu.
