KVOE staff served up hamburgers with a side of gratitude Friday alongside Bruff’s Sports Bar and Grill and Bluestem Farm and Ranch Supply.
The annual KVOE Listener Appreciation Barbecue took place outside of the farm and ranch suppliers’ front doors with hundreds of hungry listeners stopping by to pick up lunch. KVOE Sales Manager Tim Miller says not only is it a great opportunity for interaction with the community, but it’s also a valuable time to receive some input from loyal listeners.
After enjoying their burgers, provided by Bruff’s Sports Bar and Grill, residents were able to register for a chance to win one of two grand prizes, a new Weber go anywhere gas grill or a Weber Smokey Joe charcoal grill donated by Bluestem.
Lorie Sickler of Bluestem says they are always happy to team up with KVOE for the event. She says not only is it a chance for the station to thank its listeners, but also for Bluestem to thank their loyal shoppers.
Casey Bess took home the go-anywhere grill while Ashley Fields won the Smokey Joe.
