The Salvation Army food pantry got a boost this weekend with the annual Stamp Out Hunger drive, courtesy of the National Letter Carriers Association.
Salvation Army Lt. Mylie Hadden thanked the community for its support. She says Saturday’s event comes as supplies are dwindling and demand is increasing.
Nearly 3,500 pounds of food were donated, and Hadden encouraged residents to keep donating nonperishable food items through the summer — especially items that are easy to make. For more information, call the Salvation Army at 620-342-3093.
