Emporia Spanish Speakers is offering a new program aimed at assisting local businesses and residents starting next month.
Se Habla Espanol is an eight-week course that is centered around helping individuals in the service community better communicate with local Spanish-speaking residents. Visit Emporia Director Lelan Dains says this is a very pragmatic program for Emporia specifically based on recent census data.
To register for the program residents can call 620-757-3264 or go online to Emporiaspanishspeakers.com. The cost to enroll is $160 and the program will begin on Tuesday, Jun. 14 at 6:45 pm inside the Trusler Business Center at 719 Commercial Street.
