6 Area High School baseball and softball teams were winners in regional play Monday.
In baseball regional play:
Southern Lyon County defeated Yates Center 17-2 and will play Jayhawk Linn in the semi-finals Wednesday.
Colony Crest outscored Marais des Cygnes Valley 14-3.
Central Heights defeated Lebo/Waverly 6-3 in 8 innings.
Osage City defeated West Franklin 3-2 in the first round and were shut out by Anderson County in the semi-finals 7-0.
Girard defeated Burlington 13-3.
Haven outscored Council Grove 12-2.
Tuesday at Wabaunsee-
Northern Heights plays Mission Valley.
Lyndon faces Wabaunsee.
Burlingame plays Onage.
Chase County faces St. Marys.
In softball regional play:
Lebo/Waverly defeated Marmaton Valley 10-3. They will play Yates Center Tuesday in the Semi-finals.
Jayhawk Linn defeated Southern Lyon County 12-2.
Mission Valley shutout Northern Heights 10-0.
St. Mary’s shutout Lyndon 8-0.
Burlingame defeated Onaga 3-0.
Burlingame will play Wabaunsee in the semi-finals. Wabaunsee shutout Marais des Cygnes Valley 15-0.
Mission Valley plays St. Mary’s.
Council Grove shutout Hesston 16-0. They will play Hillsboro in the semi-finals.
Burlington defeated Anderson County 8-1. They will play Humboldt in the semi-finals.
Bishop Ward was a 1-0 winner over Osage City.
