The Chicago White Sox slipped past the Kansas City Royals 5-3 in 10 innings Monday night.
The White Sox built a 3-0 lead. The Royals tied the game in the 8th. Whit Merrifield doubled to drive in 2 runs, then scored on an Andrew Benintendi single.
The White Sox scored two runs in the 10th on a Louis Robert home run.
The Royals and White Sox are scheduled to play a doubleheader today.
Game 1 is set to begin at 1:10 pm. The second game is at 6:10 pm.
Both games will be broadcast on KVOE 1400AM/96.9FM.
The Royals Monday fired hitting coach Terry Bradshaw and replaced him with Alex Zumwalt the senior director for player development and hitting performance who will oversee all hitting efforts.
