The Mission Valley baseball team has punched their ticket to State. The Vikings won 3 games Wednesday. They defeated Northern Heights 5-2, Lyndon 12-9 and St. Marys 12-2 in the regional championship game.
The Mission Valley softball team has also earned a trip to state.
The Southern Lyon County baseball team was outscored by Colony Crest 4-1 in the regional championship game Wednesday.
They advanced to the regional finals with a 5-4 win over Jayhawk Linn in 8 innings.
Trips to state will be on the line Thursday for several area high school track and field teams.
Lyndon will be hosting a 2A regional. Northern Heights and Chase County will also be competing.
Burlingame will be competing at the Washington County regional today.
Top 4 individuals in each event advance to State.
