Osage City Police Chief Fred Nech says there were no injuries after a pickup truck was heavily damaged by fire earlier this week.
The incident happened shortly after 10 pm Tuesday outside 27 Main Street. Nech says a neighbor noticed the truck was on fire. Police officers contained the fire with extinguishers before Osage Rural Fire District 2 finished the job.
Nech says the fire started with legal yard burning. The fire appeared to be out but rekindled and spread to the truck. Nech says the early response kept the fire from spreading to other property nearby.
