The Kansas State Catbackers tour made a stop in Emporia Tuesday.
Head men’s basketball coach Jerome Tang was one of the featured guests. He has been on the job just over 2 months and says he has been impressed by the K-State fans.
With only 2 players returning from last year’s team Coach Tang has been busy filling the roster. He says they want to make sure they select the right type of player.
Head women’s basketball coach Jeff Mittie was also a featured guest. The Kansas State women are coming off a season that saw them advance to the 2nd round of the NCAA Tournament.
Coach Mittie says they have improved the team with this year’s recruiting class.
Athletic Director Gene Taylor was also a featured guest. He said Kansas State is in good shape.
Gene Taylor said the excitement around all the programs has him excited for the future.
A silent and live auction was held to help raise funds for athletic scholarships.
