Parents and school-aged children flocked to the Lyon County Fairgrounds to learn about the different activities, and services, offered by area organizations. Lyon County Extension 4-H Agent, and K.I.S.S. task force member, Corinne Patterson says the event provides great opportunity to gather information about what’s available.
K.I.S.S. task force member Hannah Crowell says as much as families enjoy learning about activities are available, the different organizations like the opportunity to showcase what they have to offer.
Attendees were able to enjoy hotdogs — courtesy of Smithfield — prepared by a crew led by Steve Haught. Haught says the individuals helping prepare the hotdogs, show the overall importance of K.I.S.S.
Each child attending received either a disc from Dynamic Discs or a bicycle helmet courtesy of the Sadie Jones Trust.
