The Twins scored 4 runs in the first inning and never trailed. The Royals did tie the game with 3 runs in the 3rd inning and a run in the 4th.
The Twins retook the lead for good with 2 runs in the bottom of the 4th inning.
Bobby Witt Jr hit a solo home run in the 7th and M J Melendez hit a solo home run in the 9th but it was not enough.
