If you’re looking for things to keep your kids entertained this summer, you can’t go wrong by going online to www.sunflowersummer.org or by downloading the Sunflower Summer app.
The program helped more than 70,000 residents gain access to museums, zoos, historic landmarks and other attractions for free last year and is now underway through August 14. The program is federally funded through COVID-19 relief funds.
All children that are either prekindergarten through age 18 or in “18-to-21-year-old programs” and up to two adults can access ticket vouchers through the Sunflower Summer app. After tickets are claimed, they can be activated and presented on site.
Besides museums, zoos and historic landmarks, categories include arts and theater, libraries, nature areas, day camps and bonus events. Over 90 locations and events are included statewide.
