Residents wanting to donate and help Uvalde, Texas, recover after last week’s mass shooting event have several options to consider.
The United Way of the Flint Hills is directing residents to support three different funds that were established after the second-deadliest school shooting in American history last Tuesday:
*The Robb Elementary Memorial Fund is for the families of the school where the shooting happened.
*The United Way of San Antonio and Bexar County’s United With Uvalde Fund will offer mental health services for students, teachers and families in that community.
*The Uvalde Strong Fund, hosted by the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country, will offer grant funding for affected families, nonprofits giving essential response services, medical facilities caring for victims and other organizations conducting long-term efforts to benefit Uvalde.
