Three residents of Kansas City, Missouri, were arrested this week after an alleged law enforcement pursuit.
Osage County Sheriff Chris Wells says a deputy tried to stop a vehicle at Interstate 35 mile marker 165, near the Melvern exit and almost 40 miles northeast of Emporia, shortly after 4 am Monday after an alleged traffic infraction. The driver allegedly failed to stop and the deputy gave chase. The vehicle in question eventually hit a tire-deflating device near Ottawa and stopped. Three suspects then fled into a nearby treeline.
Wells says all three men were eventually located and arrested:
*Ramar Brown, 26, was arrested on suspicion of possessing cocaine and marijuana with intent to distribute, felony flee and elude and felony interference with law enforcement
*Jaron Brown, 22, was arrested on suspicion of felony interference with law enforcement
*Johnathon Daniel, 30, was arrested in suspicion of felony interference with law enforcement
Formal charges are pending. Wells says Osage County received help from the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office and Ottawa Police Department with this incident.
