Rainfall has forced adjustments for two community activities in Emporia.
The Emporia Public Library’s Kids Koncert series made its debut Wednesday, but not at the library. Rain mover Brian Wendling the Aqua Juggler to White Auditorium’s Little Theatre. About 200 parents and children attended.
Meanwhile, the Sertoma Club has delayed the start of the miniature train season until at least this weekend. The season was supposed to begin Wednesday, but rainfall expected through mid-evening and strong storm activity earlier in the week caused some tree limbs to hang over the tracks in Soden’s Grove. Those limbs need to be moved and conditions need to dry out before the season can begin.
