American teenager Coco Gauff is into her first Grand Slam final.
The 18-year-old Gauff defeated Martina Trevisan in straight sets Thursday. She’s the youngest woman to reach a Grand Slam since 17-year-old Maria Sharapova did it in 2004. Gauff’s opponent is top-ranked Iga Swiatek, a straight-set winner over Daria Kasatkina. Swiatek won her 34th straight match, tying Serena Williams for the second-longest winning streak of this century.
The men’s semifinals are later Friday. Casper Ruud plays Marin Cilic, while Rafael Nadal plays Alexander Zverev.
