A man who pleaded no contest to attempted indecent liberties with a child as part of a Lyon County court case was recently sentenced to probation with an underlying prison term.
In March, Wyatt Bennett accepted a plea for two counts of attempted indecent liberties with a child between the ages of 14 and 16. He was sentenced to 24 months probation. The underlying prison term, which takes effect if Bennett violates probation, is 18 months. Lifetime postrelease supervision is mandated in his case.
The case stems from alleged activity from November 2019 to November 2020. Bennett was initially accused of eight counts, including regular and aggravated indecent liberties and criminal sodomy.
