ESPN — The Rangers won Game 2 of the Eastern Conference finals and ended an NHL-record streak for the Tampa Bay Lightning in the process.
The Rangers edged the Lightning 3-2, taking a 2-0 lead in the Eastern Conference Finals.
The two-time Stanley Cup champions had won 18 straight games following a loss in the Stanley Cup playoffs, last losing consecutive games in April 2019.
Game 3 is Sunday in Tampa.
Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals between Colorado and Edmonton is Saturday night in Edmonton. The Avalanche lead that series 2-0.
