From high-level talent in and out of the arena to great attendance all three nights, the 84th Flint Hills Rodeo was one to remember.
Spokesman Dow Wilson says organizers were extremely pleased with the week’s activities and so were the competitors and spectators.
The only real “hiccup” to this year’s event was a few scamming attempts made through social media.
According to Wilson online scammers were sending out false links promising community members live coverage of the rodeo and asking for personal information. Thankfully, Wilson says they took quick action to shut down those efforts.
With more than 300 competitors, world-renowned performers and great turnouts throughout the event, Wilson says the reputation of the rodeo is only continuing to grow. He says organizers will be taking some time off over the next few weeks to recover from the weekend before they begin planning for the 2023 rodeo.
Wilson says he is not sure what those plans may be like, but he is certain residents can expect an even bigger and better show for what will be the rodeo’s 85th installment.
