As has been the case the majority of the week, and for the past several weeks prior, flooding is still a concern across the KVOE listening area.
The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for Chase and Greenwood counties from 10 pm Thursday to Friday morning. This comes on top of a flood warning for one area river gauge.
The Neosho River at Neosho Rapids remains in the warning until mid-morning Friday. The river is at 22.18 feet, above flood stage of 22 feet. It should go below flood stage by Thursday evening. The river crested at 23.23 feet Wednesday.
Showers and storms are likely Thursday night. There is a slight risk of severe weather by late Thursday night into early Friday, with hail and high wind the main concerns.
