The Kansas City Royals have a win streak.
Carlos Santana, who has been struggling at the plate until very recently, gave Kansas City the lead for good with a 2-run home run as the Royals beat Baltimore 7-5. MJ Melendez also homered for the Royals, who had lost seven of eight before beating Baltimore on Thursday and Toronto on Wednesday.
Kris Bubic had a rough start, giving up four runs in 4.1 innings, but Joel Payamps pitched 1.1 innings of hitless relief for the win. Scott Barlow earned his sixth save.
The Royals and Orioles continue their four-game series Friday night, with Jonathan Heasley getting the start for KC. First pitch is at 7:10 pm. Pregame is at 6:30 pm on 14 KVOE and 96.9 FM.
