(esu) The Emporia State track and field team has announced the signing of 6 throwers for next season.
Brookes Lowe from Blue Valley West high school. He ranked tenth in the nation in the javelin and was the Class 6A state runner-up this spring. He will also play football for the Hornets.
Zach Sulzen-Watson from Washburn Rural high school. He was the Class 6A state runner-up in the discus and placed third in the shot put.
Emma Seidl is from Soloman, Kansas and transfers from Iowa Central Community College.
She earned All-American honors in the indoor shot put at Iowa Central this year with a seventh-place finish. She placed 11th in the nation outdoors.

Tailynn Beutgenbach from McPherson high school. She was the Kansas Class 4A state runner-up in the shot put.
Madison Vermetten from Blue Rapids, Kansas, Valley Heights high school. She finished in third place in the discus at the KSHSAA Class 2A state championships.
Bonnie Romig from Waverly, Kansas. She placed seventh at state in the javelin and also qualified for state in the shot put.
