So far, so good for Newman Regional Health’s annual fundraising push through its Denim and Diamonds campaign.
Events Coordinator Michelle Margeson had an update on KVOE’s Talk of Emporia on Monday:
Tickets for the Aug. 5 event went on sale late last week and are available online through www.2022dd.givesmart.com. Tickets are $65 a seat or $450 for tables of eight people. Activities will start at 6 pm at Emporia State’s Memorial Union and will include a silent auction, cash-and-carry options, an evening program, dinner, live auction and entertainment.
Before that, the hospital has the first of its three “golden ticket” events this weekend with a cornhole tournament at Harry and Lloyd’s in Amerucis this upcoming Saturday. Winners of the golden tickets, whether during Saturday’s cornhole tournament, an online raffle or at the event Aug. 5, are eligible to win a custom-made white-and-gold sapphire diamond ring valued at almost $12,000 through Kari’s Diamonds and Bridal.
Proceeds this year help to buy a C-arm machine, which combines X-ray and fluoroscopy technology to provide real-time and high-resolution images to help with diagnostic procedures.
