There’s still a little more than two months to go before the third annual Halfway to Everywhere Music and Arts Festival, and organizer Hank Osterhout says it can’t get here soon enough.
Osterhout joined KVOE’s Morning Show Tuesday to discuss the upcoming festival saying everything is pretty much in place for the now local Labor Day Weekend tradition. He says there are more than 30 bands and musicians on the lineup to perform across downtown Emporia Sept. 3.
Along with the musicians scheduled to be on hand, Osterhout says First Friday Director Kaila Mock has been hard at work securing local and regional artists for the festival.
Musical performances will take place across five stages, three outdoors and two indoors, in the downtown area with the main stage located in the Emporia Farmers Market parking lot at 7th and Merchant. The headliner for this year’s festival will be Too Many Zoos of New York.
General admission to the festival is free with VIP tickets available for $150.
