The Emporia Golf Course is hosting a Kansas Junior Tour Tournament Thursday.
There will be 9 Emporia golfers playing in the tournament.
Avery Eckert, Olivia Eckert, Elise Eckert, Chesney Erkel, Nolan Jacob, Caden Massey, Jared Johnson, Hudson Sauder and Will Walker.
Golfers will be trying to qualify for the Kansas Junior Golf Tour Championship that will be played at the Emporia Golf Course July 25th and 26th.
Earlier this week at Lake Shawnee Brooks Sauder finished in 1st place for 16 and over. Hudson Sauder finished in 5th place in the 13-15 age group.
Avery Eckert finished in 2nd place and Olivia Eckert finished in 3rd place in the girls 16 and over. Elise Eckert finished 1st in the 13-15 age group and 5th overall.
Chesney Erkel placed 2nd in the prep 12 and under division.
Caleb Schmid qualified for the Kansas Amateur Matchplay Championship with a 3rd place finish at Firekeeper on Tuesday.
Chase Coble qualified with a 14th-place finish at Terradyne on Monday.
Beginning Friday Emporians Gentry Scheve, Caden Massey and Brooks Sauder will be playing in The Railer- Kansas Stroke play Championship tournament at Newtons Sand Creek Station.
