Participants in the third annual Denim and Diamonds cornhole tournament in Americus Saturday night were hoping to make a throw worth $12,000.
The winner of the double-elimination tournament held at Harry and Lloyds in Americus received one of three golden tickets for this year’s Denim and Diamonds Gala making them eligible to take home a beautiful custom-made piece of jewelry from Kari’s Diamonds and Bridal. The tournament comes as Margeson says the hospital is “on pace” with fundraising with several events still to come.
Proceeds from the fundraiser, and other activities planned over the next few months, will go to support the annual Denim and Diamonds fundraising drive. Tickets for the annual gala on August 5 are now available through www.2022dd.givesmart.com.
Proceeds from this year’s Denim and Diamonds will help to buy a C-arm machine, which combines X-ray and fluoroscopy technology to provide real-time and high-resolution images to help with diagnostic procedures.
