The Emporia Reds U-12 team won the USSSA Class A State championship over the weekend.
The U-12s were 6-0 for the weekend.
In pool play, the U-12s defeated Hays Stars and Stripes 3-1 and Topeka Lake Monsters 14-3. In bracket play, they defeated the Lake Monsters 6-4, Olathe Pythons 12-4, Salina Kings 2028 10-2, and defeated B-Town out of Baxter Springs 9-8 in the Championship game.
The Reds U-13 team was 2-3 at the AA State tournament. They advanced to the C bracket championship game losing to JOCO Storm 7-3.
The Reds U-10 Way team was 0-1-2 at the A State tournament.
