The Kansas City Royals held on for a 2-1 win over the Texas Rangers Wednesday afternoon.
Bobby Witt Jr scored on an M.J. Melendez single in the first inning.
Texas tied the game with a home run in the 5th inning.
Kyle Izbel hit a home run in the bottom of the 5th for the winning run. He has now hit home runs in back-to-back games.
Zack Greinke, making his 500th start, was the winning pitcher going 6 innings giving up 1 run on 4 hits with 3 strikeouts and 1 walk.
Scott Barlow earned his 10th save.
The Royals will be off Thursday and open a 3 game series at Detroit on Friday.
