Children ages 6 months and older can now receive COVID-19 vaccinations through Newman Regional Health.
The hospital announced Thursday it will be making vaccines available for younger children following emergency use authorization granted by the Food and Drug Administration. Pfizer and Moderna vaccines will be available by appointment only.
This follows similar action by CareArc on Tuesday when the health center announced it will have Moderna shots available on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and Pfizer vaccines on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Residents interested in receiving vaccines through Newman are encouraged to call 620-343-2376 to schedule an appointment. Residents wishing to receive vaccinations through CareArc need to call 620-342-4864 to get their children scheduled.
