The second annual Bryan Douglas Memorial Softball Tournament is coming to Emporia this weekend.
The tournament will be at the Santa Fe Softball Complex on West South Avenue, with games starting at 9 am Saturday and continuing into the evening.
Besides the tournament, there will also be a silent auction and 50-50 raffle included. Douglas’ wife, Lori, says proceeds will go to a local family.
Douglas was a chiropractor and longtime member of the Flint Hills Optimist Club before passing away from cancer last year.
This is a co-ed tournament with a minimum of four women needed per team. Cost is $200 per team. Volunteers are also needed.
