The Emporia State football team hosted their youth camp Monday and Tuesday for kids in grades first through eighth.
Graduate Assistant Ethan Anderson of the Hornets coaching staff said this is a great opportunity for the kids to learn and be outside.
ESU had right around 100 participants in this year’s camp.
Defensive Back Chris Pope sees the importance of the camp and how crucial giving back to the youth is.
Emporia State football will host two more camps in July, both of which are their showcase camps. The first one is July 14th from 5-8 pm, and the next one is July 21st and is also 5-8 pm. Those camps are for grades 9-12.
