The Kansas City Royals completed a doubleheader sweep of the Detroit Tigers with a 7-3 win in game 2 Monday night.
Bobby Witt Jr had the hot bat going 4 for 5 at the plate with 3 RBI and scored a run.
M.J. Melendez, the first Royals Catcher to bat lead-off, drove in a run and scored a run.
Vinnie Pasquantino had 2 hits. Ryan O’Hearn also drove in a run.
Starting pitcher Daniel Lynch left in the 5th inning with a blister. He gave up 3 runs on 6 hits.
Angel Zerpa the 2nd of 4 relief pitchers used earned the win.
The Royals and Tigers play again Tuesday night. Kris Bubic will be the starting pitcher with the first pitch set for 7:10 pm. The game will be broadcast on KVOE 1400AM/96.9FM beginning at 6:30 pm.
